With the venue located in one of Brisbane south’s best foodie destination (in Calamvale), we are proud to be partnering with our client for the recruitment of an Assistant Manager.

Our client specialises in an exceptional, culturally diverse menu along with a cheeky cocktail menu. From sitting and indulging in fresh seafood selections alongside fine wines or meeting up with friends over ‘Bottomless Brunch’ events, our client offers an experience for any occasion and is a must-visit spot for both the locals and the foodie’s of Brisbane as a brunch or a night venue.

**The role**:
This position will have you working alongside, supporting, and reporting to the Restaurant Manager. This position will involve a high degree of customer service experience, people management experience and food/drinks knowledge.

The Assistant Manager position will be responsible for the running of the core day to day business operations, including the collaboration with the Bar Manager and Head Chef, operationally working with the floor staff (staff reporting directly into this role) and all management functions. Essentially, your accountabilities are as follows:

- Managing a team of approximately 10-13 staff and maintaining a positive and engaging team culture
- Delivering exceptional customer experience at every touch point
- Team management (KPI’s, staff engagement)
- Recruitment, induction, training and staff development
- Opening and/or closing the venue when on shift
- Support in the monitoring of inventory levels, communication with vendors/ suppliers to maintain business relationships
- Ensuring the highest level of guest experience and of business operations, whilst observing avenues to improve and opportunities to develop guest experience
- Support by assisting in the development and implementation of marketing, advertising, and public and community programs as well as maintaining functional, efficient, pleasant store environment and high-quality food and beverage offerings
- Ensuring the business outlet presentation is always maintained to the highest standard
- Continuously promoting the culture of care and safety
- Rostering staff in accordance to forecasting and budgeting

**You**:
To be considered for this role you will ideally have the following skills and qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years people management experience within F&B
- Experience with stock management
- Rostering experience (desirable)
- RSA & Food Handling Certificates (desirable)
- Demonstrate a high level of knowledge and expertise in a similar management role
- The ability to make decisions as necessary and own situations
- Previous experience in team management, including managing, engaging, supporting and guiding a team of staff
- Ability to support front house team members as required (coffee making, running food, managing the floor)
- Be accountable, energetic with an engaging personality
- Outstanding communication skills
- The ability to appropriately respond to all customer issues, concerns or inquiries
- A high standard of personal care and grooming
- The ability to exhibit behaviours aligning with core business values and culture
- Work well under pressure
- The ability to multitask whilst upholding the highest level of customer service
