About Us

UMS are a well-established provider of school and professional uniforms, with multiple retail locations across Brisbane and the Southern Suburbs. As we head into a busy season,

(November - February) we're looking for motivated and reliable Casual Retail Assistants to join our friendly teams across several uniform stores.


The Role

As a Casual Retail Assistant, you'll be the face of our stores – helping customers find the right fit, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of service and presentation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting customers with product selection and fittings
  • Operating the register and processing sales
  • Restocking shelves and maintaining store cleanliness
  • Ensuring displays are neat and well-organised
  • Packing online orders
  • Supporting store teams during peak periods (e.g., back-to-school)

What We're Looking For

We're seeking people who are:

  • Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
  • Reliable and punctual with strong attention to detail
  • Flexible with availability (weekdays, some Saturdays)
  • Able to work across multiple store locations if needed
  • Experienced in retail or customer service (preferred, but not essential)
  • Blue Card and Police Check will be required, which is funded from UMS for selected candidates.
