Wards Central Dining is your go-to neighbourhood restaurant for delicious coffee and wholesome food that the entire family will adore. We are seeking a talented, experienced General Manager for an immediate start to lead our team at Wards Central Dining in Shenton Park.
Reporting to the Directors of the Hot Bread Retail Group and Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and front of house team that staff the restaurant during our busy breakfast, lunch and NEW dinner service. As the General Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the venue, creating an enjoyable experience for both our team and our valued customers.

**What will you be doing?**
- Delegation of daily tasks to section managers
- Managing customer enquiries and feedback
- Managing staff costs across roster cycles
- Ensuring adherence to store and company budgets
- Working with the kitchen team in creating specials and dinner menu
- Develop and implement procedures for improvements and solutions of daily tasks
- Ensuring and managing compliance with company and other policies
- Experience with social media and especially Instagram would be desirable
**Who are you?**
- Proven supervisory or management experience in a similar role (minimum 3 years)
- A passion for hospitality fueling a hands-on approach to how you lead your team and manage all aspects of the venue.
- Complete understanding of regulatory compliance across food and beverage.
- Excellent customer service, good communication and a team-focused attitude
- Excellent people management skills with strong delegation skills
- Proven financial management
- High level of maturity and professionalism
- Excellent organisational skills and a calm, cool head
- Strong focus on workplace health and safety standards
- Passion for good food and drinks.
- Barista experience - not essential but highly regarded
