This position is to join a procurement team providing critical support to the Finance and Infrastructure team. Managing a portfolio of $250-300 million. This role is best suited to someone with strong Procurement/ Contract Management experience, a process improvement/ solution focused mind set, strong relationship mangagement skills and someone who can hit the ground running and make this role their own.
**Responsibilities***:
- End-to-end procurement focusing on best-practice/ process improvement
- Identifying and mitigating risks
- Stakeholder engagement and relationship management with contractual partners
- Coordinating approval process with service providers, reviewing terms of business, coordinate and assist the preparation of all required documentation and manage approval processes etc.
- Maintain procurement guidelines consistent with MACS procurement policies and processes that are efficient, comply with policy and are transparent
- Monitoring and reporting on contract expenditure to stakeholders within the business
- Develop clear written business cases for Executive approval.
- Maintain a vendor charter that governs how service providers engage with each other and company staff
- Understanding probity requirements and implementing this in processes
- Ad hoc duties within the procurement team
**Skills and experience**
**required***:
- More than 3 years' experience working within a tendering or contracts management role preferably within a multifaceted organisation
- Must be process improvement driven, use initiative and be proactive.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience in the development and negotiation of technology contracts including relevant outcome SLAs, milestone-based delivery and associated reporting.
- Business engagement skills, ability to partner with both technical and non-technical staff to achieve buy in from multi-disciplined stakeholders.
- Highly organised with a good understanding of governance processes and managing risks
- An understanding of relevant legislation, in particular codes of tendering
- Excellent attention to detail is essential
