**The Position**
Reporting to the Head of Fleet Operational Excellence, the Contracts Manager will establish and govern a contract management process for our Rolling Stock division. This position will ensure that more service providers are under contractual agreement and achieve cost savings and further efficiencies.

**Responsibilities**
The purpose of this position is to
- Ensure that nominated management of resources, vendors, third parties and other contracts (or related relationships) are managed optimally and compliant to achieve sustainable, quality and cost-effective outcomes.
- Develop scope of works for a varied portfolio of services and related performance measurements.
- Guide the Head of Fleet Operational Excellence and the broader team on procurement and contract administration procedures to ensure consistent best practices in each contract.
- Develop excellent working relationships and co-operation across the Rolling Stock delivery functions and MTMs support functions, including but not limited to finance, legal, commercial and the wider procurement team
- Ensure that Commercial Management Framework and other procurement policies must be applied to all contracts as appropriate with the overall objective of ensuring that contractual obligations are met in an efficient and compliant manner

**Requirements**:

- Bachelors or master's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, legal or related field.
- Proven 5-10 years of relevant experience in a senior management or team leader position in Tier 1 supplier negotiations and contract management.
- Strong financial/ commercial acumen and ability to negotiate with Tier 1 suppliers for the optimal outcome.
- Demonstrated effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control
