It’s a good opportunity to join HICAPS as the Product Owner for the Programs Value Stream This is a parental leave cover 12-month fixed term contract opportunity. **In this role, you will**: - Take full ownership of the "Programs" value stream, managing the day-to-day lifecycle of the interaction between HICAPS and private health funds, state government schemes, and Medicare - Lead the product vision for your dedicated product engineering squad, driving innovation and excellence. Conduct thorough discovery, user research, and market analysis to identify and address customer needs, problems, and opportunities within the Programs - value stream. - Define and prioritize business outcomes and epics, collaborating closely with the product engineering squad to deliver exceptional value to customers. - Engage with stakeholders to guide development processes, clarify requirements, and make strategic decisions to optimize product alignment and adoption. - Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap and backlog, ensuring alignment with the "Programs" value stream goals and HICAPS vision. - Assess the impact and performance of products and new releases using both quantitative and qualitative metrics, iterating based on findings and feedback. - Oversee risk and issue management throughout the product development lifecycle, proactively identifying obstacles, mitigating risks, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products within budget. - Stay abreast of market trends, industry news, and customer feedback to inform continuous improvement and innovation initiatives. **What you will bring** - Proven experience as a Product Owner/Product Manager - Experience in identifying and articulating customer needs and interpreting complex requirements of external parties - Ability to communicate product vision and how it aligns with the objectives of the value stream - Strong relationship management with stakeholders and customers to gather requirements. - Ability to prioritise backlog and deliver most valuable features first - Ability to make informed decisions, balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic goals **Inclusion and Diversity** We know that our people make us who we are.
