**Position Information**:
Wyong Public School has an enrolment of approximately 414 students and is situated above the banks of the Wyong River. The school is a proud partner of the Wyong Learning Community. The school has an enrolment of 93 Aboriginal students and there is a strong focus on working in authentic partnership with the Ngara AECG and the local Aboriginal community. The vision of the school is to implement evidence-based practices and develop all students as continuous and flexible learners.
The staff are focused on the curriculum reform and implementing evidence informed pedagogy across 21 classrooms including two Opportunity Classes and a Support Unit made up of three classes. Staff are well supported by high impact professional learning with shoulder-to-shoulder modelling by experienced and knowledgeable executive staff who drive ongoing strategic improvement and professional learning. Ongoing work is underpinned by high levels of collaboration, evidence informed practice and data driven decision making. To further enhance student outcomes, staff are developing capacity to effectively use and implement formative assessment in the classroom and analysing student growth in order to inform teaching and learning programs. Staff work hard to ensure Aboriginal perspectives are embedded in authentic teaching and learning programs and engage strongly around acknowledging and celebrating Aboriginal Culture and Culturally significant events.
Wyong Public School is a complex and dynamic school environment with a FOEI of 138. The school implements a range of programs to support students from highly diverse backgrounds with differentiated learning needs. The school are currently refining student wellbeing approaches and practices to support the needs of all students and the local community. Students are supported by individualised learning and support plans, strategic use of equity funds and a Schools as Community Centre (onsite) which provides services and programs for 0-8 year old students. The Aboriginal Education Officer plays a vital role in connecting with families and community partners whilst supporting our Aboriginal students at Wyong Public School.
Wyong Public School enjoys a strong collaborative partnership with the P&C and are striving to grow and enhance the genuine engagement with parents and community members to drive productive learning partnerships for all students. Transition to school and high school programs are an integral component of the schooling program and are highly supported by both the school and wider community. Parents and staff collaborate to ensure high levels of extra curricula activities are available to support the students at Wyong Public School, including sporting events, creative and performing arts opportunities and enrichment and extension programs for our High Potential and Gifted Education students.

Demonstrated ability to genuinely engage with Aboriginal parents, community members and the Ngara AECG, to significantly enhance learning opportunities for Aboriginal students and strengthen Aboriginal Education programs across the whole school, ensuring Aboriginal voices are heard and respectfully valued.
An outstanding, dynamic Educational Leader with a refined ability to lead staff in ongoing strategic improvement, modelling very high levels of relational trust and demonstrating a proven history of driving embedded and sustained improvement in student outcomes and overall academic excellence.
A demonstrated collaborative leadership style with a strong understanding of equity and the capacity to interpret and implement ongoing Department of Education change to benefit Wyong Public School students.
An approachable, decisive, flexible and supportive leader with the demonstrated capacity to lead whole school learning and wellbeing in a complex school setting whilst ensuring high levels of genuine engagement with the school community, in order to enhance productive learning partnerships for students.

4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policy and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
