We offer a safe and supportive environment where everyone can achieve their full potential. **About the role & key responsibilities** Due to internal growth, we are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator for our Farm, located around 40 minutes from Bendigo, Victoria **In this role you will support the team in a combination of duties as outlined below**: - Machinery pre-start checks and preventative maintenance - Cleaning out straw-based pig sheds - Placing straw bales into clean sheds - Offloading and stacking of straw deliveries - Assisting in moving of loading ramps on site - Pig mortality removal and composting - Compost turning - Grounds maintenance and site clean up - Operating machinery and equipment Safety is a key focus of the site; you will be required to adhere to quarantine control procedures and abide by and promote all safety procedures and regulations across the piggery. - Experience working in a farming environment and are able to cope with the physical demands of the role - Telehandler ticket (>3ton) preferred - Tractor driving experience - Skid steer driving experience - HR or HC license preferred (optional) - A certificate in Agriculture (optional) - High regard of OH&S and animal safety **You will also ideally be able to**: - Work flexible hours that might require some weekend and public holiday work (penalty pay rates apply) - Be prepared to learn new skills and train others **Applications** **Please note**: Prior to commencing, you are required to complete a pre-employment medical assessment, this will include a drug and alcohol screen. Additionally, you are required to be vaccinated for Japanese encephalitis. If you haven't been vaccinated, the business will cover the cost of doing so for the purposes of working at our Farms.
