ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Paralegal, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our Conduct & Discipline team. This position is fast-paced and challenging, making it ideal for someone who is digitally savvy, possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, and exhibits a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Reporting to the Australian Conduct Leader, you’ll contribute to maintaining a supportive working culture and an energising atmosphere where everyone feels part of the team.

**Key Responsibilities will include**:

- Administrative Support:

- Provide administrative assistance to the Australian Conduct Leader and Conduct & Discipline lawyers.
- Assist with file opening procedures and manage the member complaints inbox.
- Legal Research and Communication:

- Utilise your writing, communication, and research skills across various areas relevant to the professional conduct program.
- Communicate with CA ANZ members regarding disciplinary sanctions for minor offences.
- Committee Support:

- Prepare documentation for the Professional Conduct Committee Chair’s review.
- Produce files for committee meetings and disciplinary hearings.
- Paralegal Duties:

- Undertake legal research and provide paralegal support under the supervision of the Australian Conduct Leader and team lawyers.
- Maintain precedents, guides, registers, and manuals.

ABOUT YOU
You're pursuing law or legal administration fueled by a passion for excellence. Your stellar academic record and dedication demonstrate your readiness to excel in legal administration, bringing professionalism and efficiency to the table. You will also demonstrate the following:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for efficient administrative tasks.
- Prioritize confidentiality and privacy.
- Implement and manage compliance for enhanced efficiency.
- Advocate for best practices and high-performance culture.
- Strong communication and resilience in handling inquiries.
- Meet deadlines with ownership and responsibility.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail for accuracy.
