Arch Disability Pty Ltd is a rapidly growing business dedicated to providing top-notch NDIS services and ensuring our clients receive the highest quality care they deserve. As we continue to expand, we are currently seeking experienced and qualified staff to join our dynamic and skilled teams.
- **We are looking for committed and experienced Disability Support Workers to provide one-on-one support to our NDIS participants in Chermside QLD. Your role will involve assisting with day programs, personal care, meal preparation (including catering to allergies), general tidying, and contributing to the care of rescue birds, pets, and possums. Some driving will be required for tasks such as shopping and picking up medications, so comprehensive insurance is a must. Please note that this role may also involve "dirty work," including cleaning aviaries, bird cages, and performing related animal care tasks.**_

**Requirements**:

- Certificate 3 in Mental Health, Disability Support Services, or Age Care
- Minimum of 6 months experience in supporting people with disabilities
- Employment Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain one
- Experience in SIL & STA environments is advantageous
- Valid driver's license and comprehensive insurance
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one
- Two to three professional and industry-related reference checks
- Valid First Aid (HLTAID003) and CPR (HLTAID001) certificates or in the process of obtaining them
- Full COVID-19 vaccination
- Willingness to travel to the Chermside QLD area
- Possession of a Blue Card (Working with Children)
- MUST be willing to support a 66-year-old female client with daily tasks (stroke/potts/fibromyalgia) for 3 shifts per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Sunday, 3-7pm)
- Female support worker preferred
- Advantageous qualifications and experiences:

- Experience in mental health, particularly with complex clients
- Knowledge of wheelchair-bound clients
- Medication administration skills
- Understanding of intellectual disabilities

- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Chermside, QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)
