**The Role - Philanthropy Executive - Major Gifts**
Major Gifts and grants have been identified as a
**key area for growth **for WIRES. Due to internal movement, there is now an opportunity for a
**passionate, driven relationships focussed** salesperson to join the team as the Philanthropy Executive - Major Gifts.

You will report to a
**supportive and nurturing** Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager, your responsibility is to
**acquire** new Major donors / PAFs and to
**cultivate existing donors **to deliver significant income growth. You will take ownership and be responsible for the growth of a major donor portfolio of in excess of $1m.

As a
**natural story-teller, **with a passion for native animals, your role will include
**building relationships** with existing and new donors through phone calls, meetings and events. This role has access to a warm database of previous donors with
**huge potential** to commit to substantial gifts.

You will work closely with colleagues across the wider Marketing and Fundraising Team, of almost 20 people, to
**create engaging propositions and proposals**, ensure coordinated activity and maximise opportunities for growth.

**Your skills & attributes**
- Excellent written & verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to build positive, long-lasting relationships with high net worth / philanthropic individuals
- Self-motivated - experience working in a financially target-driven role
- Experience using CRM systems, ensuring data integrity and input accuracy
- Demonstrated experience in writing detailed, creative documents/proposals / pitches
- Team player - collaborative & approachable
- Entrepreneurial & d proactive
- Passionate about animal welfare and improving outcomes for animals
