**About The Role**:
Reporting to the Head of Asset Knowledge & Technology, this is a pivotal role within the Asset Knowledge & Technology Department. As the Program Manager - Digital you will be responsible for ensuring programs, projects and business changes within the Digital portfolio are delivered to the Melbourne Water business and projected benefits are realised on time, on cost and on quality. This includes ensuring that projects meet agreed service levels, support the business change long term, and adhere to governance and control arrangements.

This role combines enterprise IT program delivery with in-field operations. With projects focusing on safety, efficiency, and effectiveness, the Digital Program typically combines a mix of major platform renewals and new capability introduction, delivered by both internal and external resources.

In this role you will:

- Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of Digital Programs and Projects to meet business outcomes to agreed service levels.
- Implement best practices for digital transformation and support field-based operations.
- Manage external contractors including Project Managers, Business Analysts and third-party technology providers.
- Develop contract delivery strategies and directly manage tender processes, overseeing execution of project tendering, evaluation and award determination.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project execution, managing internal and external stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively to drive continuous improvement and greater efficiency across the Service Delivery and Service & Asset Lifecycle portfolios.

**About You**:

- Tertiary qualification in IT, Engineering, Project Management or similar.
- Significant experience in program and project management, specifically in the successful delivery of large, complex digitally enabled programs and projects involving significant business change
- Demonstrated experience in a blend of commercial and business acumen, digital program, project and solutions delivery know-how, governance and digital solutions
- Experience operating in field with a safety focus in an asset intensive environment such as utilities, manufacturing, mining or logistics.
- Proficiency in IT infrastructure, solution architecture, and mobility platforms to understand and manage the technical aspects of the program
- Experience working with business stakeholders to understand program requirements and collaborating with them to capture strategic requirements
- Demonstrated experience in planning, building and managing high performing teams.
- Experience with client-side procurement processes including tendering.
