As the People and Culture Coordinator, you’ll be central to supporting our team members, advising on industrial relations matters, and fostering a positive, people-first culture. **What You’ll Do**:

- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives, with a strong focus on industrial relations and compliance.
- Ensure that team members maintain up-to-date qualifications and certifications.
- Partner with our centres and Operations team to drive effective people performance management and address industrial relations concerns.
- Provide expert guidance on relevant professional development opportunities for staff.
- Support Centre Directors and Leadership Teams by offering advice on HR and industrial relations issues, ensuring compliance with all legal and award requirements.
- Manage HR administration, including employment contracts, change letters, and statements of service.
- Lead health and wellness initiatives, providing support to Centre Directors and team members alike.
- Contribute to and support projects alongside the People & Culture Manager, including those related to industrial relations.
- Collaborate with all business stakeholders to ensure the seamless implementation of HR and industrial relations processes.
- Maintain and expand your understanding of Early Education & Care Regulations, with a focus on industrial relations compliance.
- Develop expertise in the Edge Children’s Services Award and ensure ongoing compliance.

**About You**:

- You hold tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- You have 2+ years of generalist HR experience, with a strong foundation in industrial relations.
- You possess a deep understanding of Australian employment laws, industrial relations, and HR best practices.
- You’re skilled at staying current with both federal and state industrial relations and employment law updates.
- Previous experience in the early learning sector is advantageous but not required.
- You are highly competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- You excel at multitasking, relationship-building, and handling industrial relations matters with professionalism.
- You demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and autonomy, especially when managing sensitive industrial relations issues.
- You have excellent communication and time management skills.
- You hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transport for frequent centre visits.
- You possess or can obtain a current Working with Children Check/Blue Card/Working with Vulnerable People Check.
