**We are creating a Talent Pool for future Casework Support Worker vacancies across the Murrumbidgee, Far West and Western NSW District. Our area covers 72% of NSW, and supporting clients in this vast area is our main priority.**
**The Talent Pool is valid for a period of up to 18 months and will be used to fill future temporary and ongoing vacancies that may arise.**
**Salary - $79,032.00 to $86,539.00 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading per year of service.**
**We have Community Service Centres (CSC’s) in the following locations across the district that you could work in**:
**Murrumbidgee and Far West**: Albury, Cootamundra, Deniliquin, Griffith, Leeton, Tumut, Wagga Wagga, Broken Hill, Wilcannia, Dareton.**
**Central West and Western NSW**: Bathurst, Bourke, Brewarrina, Cobar, Condobolin, Coonabarabran, Coonamble, Cowra, Dubbo, Mudgee, Orange, Nyngan, Parkes, Walgett.**
**Your role**
As a Casework Support Worker, you will directly support the day to day work of Caseworkers and contribute to keeping children, young people and families safe by undertaking tasks which support case planning and documentation, referrals and appointments, case visits and day to day team priorities. The role is pivotal to ensuring Caseworkers are supported to do their best work with families.
**What you’ll do**
As part of the Casework Support Worker role, you will:
- Assist caseworkers prepare documentation and help with case planning for children and young people.
- Source and share information about families and make relevant referrals and appointments.
- Maintain timely client and casework records, including client information system records.
- Supervise “low risk” family contact visits and prepare summary reports which accurately record observations.
**What we’re looking for**
- Someone who has some community work experience in working with vulnerable and diverse groups.
- Strong record keeping experience or the willingness to learn.
- Someone who supports the work of caseworkers and understands the complex and challenging situations for some disadvantaged families.
**What you need**
- a valid driver’s licence
- a TAFE Diploma in a relevant field, welfare / community services, OR relevant work experience deemed to be the equivalent experience
