**The Opportunity**:
Our Mining Services division have an opportunity for a Project Controller to join our Mine Closure team via the Perth, Brisbane or Newcastle office. Join a specialised team working who are at the cutting edge of work in this field, and as part of our team, you’ll help us shape the future.

**Main Activities and Responsibilities**:

- Monitor study budgets and schedules to support multiple large multidisciplinary delivery of mine closure and other geo-environmental studies
- Work with study managers to review and report on progress costs, including earned value, for multidisciplinary studies of varying complexity and size.
- Support senior project controls personnel in reporting on various multidisciplinary studies of varying complexity and size
- Work with study managers to optimize critical path activities to deliver multidisciplinary studies of varying complexity and size.
- Review reports and other outputs and provide input into a diverse range of projects and ensure that work produced complies with quality system and client requirements.
- Assist senior project controls and project administrators to establish correct project setups
- Assist nominated project administrators to ensure timely and accurate invoicing
- Assist nominated project coordinators in the establishment and maintenance of project schedules across numerous projects to ensure consistency and compliance with client requirement’s
- Work proactively with mining clients to build effective networks and industry relationships.
- Network with existing and potential clients to identify upcoming opportunities.

**Preferred experience and skills**:

- Bachelor degree or equivalent relevant tertiary education (Certificate, Diploma and/or Degree) related to planning/cost
- Ideally 4-8 years industry experience on both multidisciplinary mining projects and studies
- Training in cost control and earned value management
- Demonstrated experience in cost control on large multidisciplinary studies and projects
- Demonstrated experience in mine closure planning, and major bulk earthworks related projects
- Independent thinker able to challenge norms, develop new ideas
- Proficient in P6, MS Office, MS Project and cost/finance packages
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work virtually and face-to-face within a team environment, including the motivation and development of others within your team
