**About the role**:
Based in our Melbourne Tullamarine office this role reports to the Sales and Customer Service Manager, to ensure our clients are satisfied & expectations are met, promotes existing services & ensures data accuracy whilst reporting to management.
**What you will be doing**:
- Customer Service
- Manage job file create, costing & other data entries
- Maintain & update client profiles & details
- Order follow-up & maintenance of order reports for clients
- Ensure clients are updated on all matters which includes pre-alerts, arrival dates, offloads & the deliver schedule
- Quote profitable levels to clients & overseas offices
- Handle customer rate & shipment queries
- Liaise with operational & warehouse staff to ensure client requirements are met
- Implement & maintain industrial project client SOP’s
- Arrange bookings with carriers / co-loaders & execute all pertinent shipping documents
- Coordinate day-to-day operations & transactions for freight forwarding & other related activities
- Promote & develop all Bollore Logistics services to clients
- Liaise with management on the following:
- All matters concerning client details
- Accounts that are approaching or outside their agreed terms
- Service & develop existing accounts
**Requirements**:
Essential:
- At least three years of experience in Customer Service or in a related role
- Previous experience handling sea & air freight
- Proficient knowledge of all facets of freight forwarding
Desirable:
- Familiarity with Cargowise One
- Fluent with Microsoft Suit programs
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Conflict resolution & diplomacy know-how
- Ability to think laterally to find practical solutions to problems
