**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Reporting to the Chief Football Officer, this fixed-term role has the accountability to deliver on Football Australia’s strategic vision and objectives as outlined within the XI Principles and to effectively plan, coordinate and deliver all Coaching Courses within the FA Coach Licence Accreditation Program. This includes providing strategic direction and operational leadership for all aspects of Football Australia’s coach development initiatives.

Please note this role is fixed term for 12 months.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- To develop and implement a plan to ensure Australian coaches maximise their talent and achieve excellence from local to international level
- To increase the numbers and quality of FA’s coaches at all levels in Australia
- To establish excellent lines of communication with FA’s stakeholders, including, but not limited to State Federations, clubs, coaches, and other relevant domestic and international organisations
- To maximise all opportunities available for coach development through partner organisations such as the Australian Sports Commission, AIS, and leading universities
- To facilitate the implementation and evaluation of the Coach Development Framework to ensure that they are benchmarked on international protocols and best practice, and where appropriate adapted to maximise Australian talent
- To provide policy advice and implementation support to other FA departments, specifically, but not limited to, the FA Competitions Department

**ABOUT YOU**

**Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications**:

- Pro-Diploma or A-Licence Coach Accreditation
- Tertiary qualifications in coaching, education, or related field
- Significant coaching experience and success, preferably at a national level or higher
- Demonstrated understanding of the concepts of sports science/sports medicine
- Ability to incorporate such disciplines holistically into training programs
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of all levels of football
- Proven experience developing coaches
- Experience working with elite athletes
- Demonstrate strong presentation, interpersonal and communication skills
- Possess eye for detail and experience in managing people, budgets and programs within a regulated, planned and time critical operating environment
- Ability to think through problems and achieve effective solutions; innovative and constantly seeking better ways of doing things
- Effective knowledge of IT and communication systems and platforms
- Commitment to work collaboratively as a member of a small team
- Be a team player and good relationship builder

**Additional Requirements**:
