The DarkLab precinct is one of Hobart’s most vibrant spaces, which hosts a wide array of events, from live music, theatre performances, and electronic dance nights. We pride ourselves on creating an unforgettable experience for our guests with exceptional service, a lively atmosphere, delicious food and a great selection of drinks. Our venues include In The Hanging Garden, Altar Bar and the Odeon Theatre, with more opening on the horizon. We are currently looking for multiple roles for these venues, which are outlined below.

** Casual Bar Supervisor**

As a Bar Supervisor, you will take charge of the bar's daily operations, ensuring high standards of service and team performance. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a deep understanding of bar management. You will be responsible for overseeing the bar staff, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring compliance with RSA regulations.

The Gig:

- Lead and supervise the team of bartenders to deliver exceptional service.- Ensure the efficient operation of the bar during service hours.- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation.- Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and inventory control.- Handle customer queries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.- Ensure compliance with all licensing laws and health and safety regulations.- Provide training and support to new and existing staff members.- Collaborate with the management team to improve service and operations.

The You:

- Previous supervisory experience in a bar or similar hospitality environment.- Strong leadership and team management skills.- Exceptional customer service skills and a proactive attitude.- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.- Must be available for late nights, weekends, and public holidays.- Valid RSA certification is required.

** Casual Bartender**

We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled bartenders to join our team. As a bartender, you will be at the heart of our venue, delivering exceptional service, crafting delicious drinks, and ensuring our guests have a memorable experience. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and a desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The Gig:

- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.- Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons.- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area.- Ensure compliance with all RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) regulations.- Operate POS systems efficiently.- Assist in stock management and replenishment.- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth service during busy periods.

The You:
