**About the role**:
This position will work with teams within the Hunter Stroke Service to implement and evaluate stroke services, models of care and interventions for HNELHD stroke survivors and their carers and families. One main project this position will support is ESTEEM After Stroke Research Team.
This team is leading the implementation and evaluation of an exciting stroke recovery program called the ESTEEM Program; a group-based program delivered by non-government organisations in the community in regional areas. ESTEEM stands for Exercising, Socialising, and Thinking: an Environmental Enrichment Model.
This position is responsible for the coordination of research activities at sites participating within the ESTEEM After Stroke research program. This will involve (i) supporting the site in adhering to the research protocol and (ii) leading the recruitment of suitable study participants and supervising the staff responsible for collecting participant data needed for the research project. This position may also support other stroke research and service implementation and evaluation activities within the Hunter Stroke Service.
This position will participate in weekly and monthly project meetings.

We are looking for a reliable, conscientious and well-rounded project manager who is aware of research and ethic protocols and understand the details and requirements needed in report writing. You will have a keen eye for detail and demonstrated relationship building skills. You will need to be able to manage both your time and competing priorities well. Experience in research and or working with people living with stroke is highly desirable. This role is flexible with opportunities to work from home, when not needed on the site or at HMRI.

**Where you will be working**:
The stroke research team this position sits within, is a collaborative multidisciplinary team encompassing of Physiotherapists, Speech Pathologists, Researchers, and people with lived experience of stroke. The team is based out of Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) in New Lambton Heights. This position will be required to work between New Lambton Heights HMRI Stroke research team and other sites across the HNELHD including but not limited to Taree, Newcastle and Maitland/Kurri.
