**The Role**

Our client is a large-scale infrastructure business with aggressive growth plans over the next 8-years. Reporting into the Head of Procurement, this Category Manager will partner with key stakeholders across the Information Technology category to lead and deliver end-to-end category activities.

Key responsibilities include:

- Development and drive the implementation of Procurement strategies, policies, and initiatives
- Drive strategic sourcing and cost saving activities for ICT goods and services
- Deliver successful end to end tender processes within allotted timeframes
- Manage supplier negotiations and conduct supply market intelligence studies
- Lead contract performance and strategic relationship management activities to deliver safe, effective, and efficient outcomes for the group
- Define, and update procurement policies and procedures adopting best practices and ensuring business requirements are met
- Monitor compliance and implement continuous improvement on procurement processes, policies, and procedures
- Provide advice for matters relating to procurement processes and contracts
- Identify and monitor spend targets and propose improvement measures
- Drive the achievement of procurement KPI’s

**Skills & Experience**
- Proven experience within a Category Manager/Procurement Manager/Senior Specialist role conducting pre-and post-award procurement activities
- Extensive experience managing ICT spend
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work within a developing environment
- Passionate about delivering successful outcomes for stakeholders
