Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead sourcing and procurement activities across ICT categories. In this role, you will contribute to the development and implementation of category management plans and strategies that align with business needs, deliver value for money, and support government objectives.


About the Role

As a Senior Category Officer, you will be responsible for developing and administering contract management plans, including negotiating changes, managing supplier performance, and ensuring compliance. You will also plan and lead contract negotiations to establish and review supply arrangements, provide governance, advice, and guidance to internal stakeholders, and document procurement processes, decisions, and contractual arrangements to ensure probity and audit readiness.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and administer contract management plans to ensure effective contract execution and risk management.
  • Plan and lead contract negotiations to secure best-value outcomes for the organization.
  • Provide expert guidance on procurement policies, procedures, and standards to internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience in ICT category management.
  • Proven experience in providing procurement advice within a large, complex organization.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Commercial experience in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry, with knowledge of category management principles and practices.
