**About The Role**:
Are you ready to elevate your career? Compare the Market is seeking a skilled Control Testing Officer to join our Commercial & Sales Division. This full-time, permanent role is based in Toowong and is crucial in executing our first-line monitoring program. As an aggregator for a wide range of products and brands, Compare the Market holds both an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) and an Australian Credit Licence (ACL), making this role key in ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations across both financial and non-financial services.

As the Control Testing Officer, you will play an essential role in the proactive monitoring function, supporting the operation with controls documentation, monitoring, tracking, and reporting. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure adherence to our established compliance process and calendar, helping to identify risks and address compliance issues effectively.

**What You’ll Do**:
We're looking for a meticulous and proactive Control Testing Officer to join our team. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and have a keen eye for detail, this role is for you You'll be responsible for ensuring compliance by executing monitoring activities aligned with our established processes and compliance calendar. In this role, you'll also support the business in areas like controls documentation, monitoring, tracking, and reporting.

As part of a close-knit and dynamic team, you'll feel at home working in a fast-paced setting where improvement and collaboration are highly valued. You'll be confident in identifying and articulating compliance risks, with the ability to escalate issues as needed.
- Plan, execute, and oversee product lines, testing for quality and conformance to specifications and deliverables.
- Monitor risk-management procedures, maintain problem logs, and report issues to managers.
- Enhance standards and risk management best practices around Risk Assurance and Controls Testing.
- Collaborate on relevant Risk Assessments with Risk colleagues to drive a best-in-class risk management program.
- Coordinate or conduct relevant risk monitoring and testing routines on a risk-focused basis.
- Managing AD HOC Assignments and Testing Oversight.

**What You’ll Bring**:

- Deep knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools.
- Knowledge of AFSL, ACL and associated regulatory obligations (or aptitude to acquire).
- Ability to understand and identify contractual obligations (or aptitude to acquire).
- Strong monitoring and record keeping skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Highly desirable if you have experience with leading SOC Programs.
- Experience with designing and implementing key controls indicators.
- Experience using QSEN or other dashboards to monitor risk and controls.
- Excellent reporting and analysis skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work in a small team and to engage with internal stakeholders as required.
- A strong interest in driving a good compliance culture.
