Be involved in a high-profile contract in Sydney as a Community Engagement Officer. Our client is seeking a motivated, outgoing, and hardworking person to fill this vacancy and be part of their nationally recognised company.

**The Role**
As a Community Engagement Officer, you will provide your skills to the business as it undertakes its newest construction contract. You will be responsible for supporting the Communications Manager in community outreach and engagement.

**Responsibilities**
- Support the implementation of the Community Engagement Plan, and working with project engineers to ensure communications are ready and projects avoid any delays.
- Identify relevant community impacts from delivery of our services and work with internal teams to mitigate these where possible
- Maintain up to date information regarding status of enquiries in our customer databases and respond in a timely manner to complaints and enquiries
- Ask the right questions of internal staff to understand how services are delivered and translate technical information into clear and concise responses
- Assist the Community Engagement Manager with monthly client reporting

**About You**
- Degree qualified in communications, journalism, public relations or similar
- 1-4 years experience in community engagement, stakeholder management or communication role
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex and technical information into clear, concise messages
- Ability to prepare high quality responses to customer feedback, ministerial and media enquiries
- Transport and or construction exposure would be held in high regard
