**Your role**:
**As the Principal Privacy Officer, you will**:

- Provide sound, practical and definitive policy, strategic and operational advice in relation to the department's privacy management and compliance with the Information Privacy Act 2009 and associated Information Privacy Principles and its statutory obligations under relevant privacy frameworks.
- Maintain currency of State and Federal privacy legislation to research, analyse, investigate, manage, and respond to privacy matters including, but not limited to, privacy assessments, breaches and complaints, requests for advice, and the development and delivery of privacy training.

The Principal Privacy Officer reports to the Manager, Privacy, Privacy and Safer Technologies, Governance, Cyber and Policy, Information and Technologies Branch, People, Information and Communication Services Division.
