**Role Summary**:
The Marketing and Communications Assistant is responsible for assisting with the management of the internal processes and providing administrative support to the Marketing and Communications team to help grow, engage and retain the Opportunity supporter base. This role will have a critical part in overseeing supporter communications across multi channels for the organisation.
It is a unique opportunity which will suit an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, where no two days are ever the same. You will be happy to wear multiple different hats and pitch in to support a small team as and when required.
The MarComms team are pivotal in Opportunity’s success and so they need a creative, hardworking and passionate individual who is wanting to use their learned Marcomms skills to help engage and inform Australians about Opportunity’s work and raise much-needed funds to help families around the world leave poverty behind. A passion for international development to serve the world’s most disadvantaged, and an alignment with Opportunity’s mission, value and purpose, is critical.
**Responsibilities Include**:
- Support the team in managing event logistics and creating marketing collateral for the events
- Provide administration support during an appeal e.g. sharing donation updates to the Development team, data preparation, direct mail fulfilment, liaising with graphic designer
- Manage and upkeep the media library for MarComms and effectively acts as the key contact for the wider organisation
- Oversee Philanthropy activity and MarComms calendars and update stakeholders when required
- Supply assets to Supporters and Ambassadors e.g. for their events or websites
- Keeping stationery inventory i.e. supporter welcome packs, gift cards, liaising with office manager[KJ1]
- Oversee the administration of cross-organisational processes within Philanthropy and Corporate services. This may include fulfilment of welcome packs, appeal coding.
- Conduct welcome and thank you phone calls to single & RG entry level supporters
- Provide marketing and fundraising support to Peer-to-Peer and Facebook fundraisers
- Works across the Communications and Marketing team on a variety of projects as needed

- Proficient in relevant marketing programs, CMS and CRM’s
