**About the role**:
Reporting into the International Supply Planning Manager, your key focus will be to work with a group of international suppliers to ensure strong in-store availability in accordance with the long term order plan within the fast-paced grocery category. This role is also charged with driving end to end optimisation of the international supply chain by identifying and delivering efficiencies and cost reduction.
As an International Supply Planner, you will have the opportunity to develop innovative solutions to solve global supply network operational issues across distribution and transport and collaborate with a large range of suppliers and colleagues within Supply Chain Operations and the Merchandise Business Units to deliver strong in-store availability.

You will also:

- Manage day-to-day supply in line with current business expectations for working capital, availability, stock cover and waste
- Negotiate with and influence suppliers to adapt production and container loading operations to ensure end to end cost reductions and efficiencies are maximised
- Partner with and provide insights to the Merchandise Business Units to cover sourcing trends, supply feasibility and serviceability, costing tools and legislative requirements
- Influence and work cross functionally with distribution centres, freight forwarders and the Merchandise Business Units to help improve service levels
- Proactively seek and identify opportunities to improve the end-to-end international supply chain and manage the implementation of initiatives
- Develop and manage effective stakeholder relationships with key customers

**About you and your skills**:

- Demonstrated experience in a planning or inventory management role, with exposure to international supply chain or logistics preferred
- Knowledge of retail industry and FMCG, combined with analytical and modelling skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, where process optimisation and cost reduction has been a focus
- Advanced problem-solving capability, with the ability to question process and come up with ideas to mitigate supply risks
- Experience in managing supply chain network models and system levers to achieve supply metrics
- An innate set of skills in negotiation, procurement and contract management, including setting up new supply agreements
- A high proficiency for communication, catering for a variety of stakeholder levels including overseas vendors and internal stakeholders
- A track record of complying with tight deadlines and producing quality outcomes
