Childcare Maintenance Worker

Sydney, Australia The Berry Patch Preschool and Long Day Care Centre Full time

The Berry Patch Preschool Group are currently looking for a full-time (part-time negotiable) maintenance worker for their five childcare services across Sydney.

The Maintenance worker will work closely with the Maintenance Manager of the services, receive a full induction and training where required and be responsible for:

- Attending the services immediately to rectify any immediate hazards or risks to the service when reported
- Ongoing maintenance and repairs to ensure safe and tidy indoor and outdoor environments including maintenance of resources, gardens, play areas and landscaping surrounds
- Completing all tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager/Directors of the services
- Regular inspections of the environments to ensure all equipment is in proper working order

**Essential**:

- Flexibility in work arrangements and hours
- Able to work weekends
- Current Working with Children check
- Police check
- Current Covid Vaccination status
- Own car
- Independent worker with good time management skills
- Friendly and well presented

**Preferred**:

- Own tools and equipment
- Previous experience in childcare maintenance
- Previous experience in landscaping/garden maintenance

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver's License (required)
