**Garden Maintenance Team Leader**

GJs Property Maintenance is a well-established, award-winning Property Maintenance business based in Sydney.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Managing single or multiple sites per day as well as managing your team
- All aspects of lawn care, including treating weeds, pest and disease in small to broad acre sized lawns.
- Use of lawn mowers - self-propelled, walk behinds and zero turn ride-ons.
- Use of a whipper snipper
- Hedging, pruning and minor tree pruning using hedge trimmers and saws.
- Weeding, mulching and general garden care.
- Preparation and minor maintenance of all equipment being used in day-to-day duties.
- Support fellow employees to develop new skills and achieve employment goals.
- Ensure contract specifications and scheduling requirements are being met.

**What we are looking for**:
We are looking for applicants with experience in horticultural maintenance, as well as the following:

- Certificate II or higher in Horticulture (Landscaping/Parks and Gardens) or a minimum of 3 years industry experience
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to assess and complete tasks as they arise
- A high level of customer service
- Fit with a Broad-minded “can do” attitude
- Reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Safety conscious attitude ensuring tasks are always completed to a safe standard.
- WHS White Card
- National Police Check or be willing to obtain.
- Working with Children or be willing to obtain.
- Hold a current Full driver licence (confident towing a trailer)
- _Must be vaccinated with minimum 2 shots of COVID vaccine_.

**What GJs Property Management offer employees?**
- Hourly rate upward of $30/hr. plus superannuation (dependent on experience and qualifications)
- Full-time, permanent position - Immediate Start
- Normal working hours are 7.00am to 3.00pm with overtime opportunities available.

**How to apply**

**Salary**: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Horticulture: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- WHS White Card, current Australian driver licence. (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
