**A day in the life of a Team Leader - Kindergarten Inclusion Support at Yooralla**
- The Team Leader will support the planning, implementation and management of the Kindergarten Inclusion Support (KISS) Program in the South Eastern Metropolitan Region (SEMR) of Melbourne in accordance with DET KISS funding guidelines and Yooralla policies and procedures.

As a Team Leader will work directly with the Manager and administration and support team including Additional Assistant staff working in the community kindergarten programs to:

- Support with the management of KISS in accordance with the objectives, priorities, policies and procedures of Yooralla and relevant DET funding guidelines
- Support with staff placements - both relief and regular shifts within services to meet funding requirements and requests for support
- Monitor and report on shift vacancies and staffing agreement activities, ensuring timelines and targets are met
- Co-ordinate the recruitment, induction, training and professional learning of Additional Assistant staff to meet relief/regular funded shift and mandatory training requirements
- Collation and processing of additional assistant shift/pay information and follow up of any associated queries- Providing support, guidance, coaching, leadership and empowerment to the team including supporting the manager with feedback through performance reviews and supervision of additional assistants-
- Support with the management of financial administrative functions within the program including accounts payable and processing and recording of non recurrent funding amounts within relevant organisational and department systems/databases-
- Ensure all regulatory requirements pertaining to the program are met including reporting of all incidents, restrictive practices, reportable conduct and mandatory reporting (child safety)-
- Establish and maintain effective public relations and liaison with other relevant regional and local service providers and participate in relevant internal and external committees and working groups**About you**

- Significant and appropriate experience in working with children within Early Education and Care, early childhood intervention and/or disability services
- High level knowledge of Early Education and Care Services and related legislation and frameworks, and staff management principles are essential
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and understanding of the impact of cultural issues on interactions, and able to plan and deliver services which appropriately meet the needs of people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- Ability to initiate and maintain contacts with a broad range of people and community organisations to ensure children’s access to services, appropriate communication
