Our Return-It business is focused on making recycling simple, accessible and rewarding.
Return-It is the consumer facing entity of the Group and its core business is to provide a modern and convenient way to collect eligible beverage containers via Container Deposit Schemes, accurately paying back refund amounts to consumers. Return-It is a national business and operates across QLD, ACT, NSW and WA and comprises of more than 100 collection refund points, including over 40 permanent depots.
**About the Role**:
Marketing Activations Manager will be responsible for tactical marketing activities, and will work closely with our Refund Point Operations team to drive customers to our sites and executing initiatives to maintain, grow and protect our container volumes.
- Key Responsibilities: _
Marketing needs and opportunities
- Determine marketing needs and opportunities.
- Communicate market, industry trends and competitor activities, observing risks and opportunities.
Local Area Marketing Plans
- Lead the development of effective marketing plans.
- Aspire to grow and defend volumes in existing refund points.
- Implement tools & systems to support local area marketing (LAM) initiatives.
- Conceive growth initiatives and campaigns to successfully launch new sites.
- Ensure expenditure is within allocated budgets.
Marketing Activations
- Execute marketing campaigns to drive awareness of the brand and our refund points to end users.
- Manage the campaigns end to end, in doing so, ensure accountability for successful outcomes.
- Ensure on time delivery and expenditure is within allocated budget.
- Execute trade shows and other events.
Marketing Impact
- Communicate the effectives of our marketing activities.
- Seek and identify opportunities for improvement.
Stakeholder Management
- Foster collaborative partnerships with all stakeholders.
- Ensure all marketing campaigns compliment the Scheme.
- Provide customers with a remarkable experience.
Leadership
- Strive to be better every day and encourage others to aspire to do the same.
- Be the voice of our marketing department and brand champion.
- Stay safe and look out for others, embracing our Safety First culture.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a related marketing role with previous experience in managing a marketing budget
- Proven dynamic creativity and tenacity in the marketing field
- A strategic mindset with previous experience in setting marketing plans
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders as well as across various departments
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Collaborative working style with an ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
- A passion for environmental sustainability
- Capacity for work related travel, local and interstate
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional weekends.
