Merchandising & Marketing Activation Manager, Sydney
ABOUT COTY
This role is accountable for executing merchandising strategies to achieve best practice across allocated Prestige Brands & Consumer Beauty (Production). As the Merchandising & Marketing Activation Manager, you will be responsible for and oversea: point of sale creative development, in-store permanent and temporary execution, visual merchandising, Capex projects, installation, sustainability, and leading team members.
The role requires strong pro-active, multi-project management skills, keen eye for detail, and natural creative flair - a winning combination to ensure excellence in execution. Both numerical and aesthetical skills are required to be able to manage and oversee projects on time & within budget; driving consistent quality whilst adhering to time sensitive critical paths. This fast-paced role requires attention to detail, agility and most importantly, unwavering team spirit.
Reporting to Head of Merchandising & In-Store Excellence - Consumer Beauty & Prestige ANZ, your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Lead the development and execution of Consumer Beauty (Production) & Prestige (allocated brands) Merchandising strategy (short, mid, and long-term) in conjunction with brand marketing, local & global, and commercial objectives of the business; develop merchandising and POS solutions and tools.
Oversea and project manage all aspects of CB Capex and allocated Prestige brand projects including new fixtures/stand development and build, design, stand assets; and manage the sourcing, production, roll-out and installation of stands and shelving in line with local and global requirements.
Oversea design, build and implementation for Prestige temporary POS, VM, print and pop-up retail executions in ANZ for allocated brands.
Lead the contractor quote/tender process for all allocated projects and obtain the necessary approvals. Lead supplier WIP meetings for allocated brands ensuring project schedules (internal/external) are accurate to meet agreed deadline dates.
Responsible for allocated budget (A&CP and CAPEX) ensuring efficiency of spend, accurate forecasting, reconciliation of actuals and budget management are in line with expectations, working closely with internal team and finance.
Provide all necessary reports, post campaign analysis and market updates; delivering strategic insight presentations that bring relevant parties the most current understanding of in-store excellence, design, fixtures, activations, and merchandising dynamics.

Minimum 4 year’s experience in a similar role, preferably within the CB/ luxury cosmetic market, with an enthusiasm for and exposure to Retail Merchandising, Marketing/Retail Activation, Shopper Marketing, or Project Management.
Excellent numerical skills combined with the ability to interpret drawings, measurements and building plans.
Demonstrated experience delivering projects, project management or in-store events/activations.
Proficient communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and deliver presentations with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience and success delivering results within strict deadlines with a high attention to detail.
