**About the Role**

We have an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Officer to be based onsite at the Western Sydney International Airport project in Badgerys Creek, western Sydney, to proactively support the effective implementation of the Quality Management System.

For this role, you be required to interface with a cross functional team, other engineering disciplines, contractors, and the customer, as required. You will report to the Project Quality Manager, and be part of a small, experienced and supportive team.

You will provide independent oversight and review of the project deliverables throughout the lifecycle, including the oversight and review of the contractor’s work and records.

The Quality Assurance Officer is a key individual in performing Bechtel Delivery Partner’s (DP) role of Contract Administration. To be successful in this role, you will be fully familiar with the contract terms, scope, and requirements and will work as part of the larger DP package management team to fulfil the DP obligations.

Responsibilties:

- Assist DP management with implementation of the Quality Program Plan(s).
- Application and participate in review of quality processes with a continuous improvement mind set to resolving quality issues.
- Participate in review of plans, procedures and records and attend regular construction and quality related meetings.
- Assist in monitoring and reporting of quality programme metrics and analysis as leading quality indicators.
- Monitor the contractor’s quality performance through assurance tools including surveillances and audits and where identified use a collaborative approach to solve audit and/or surveillances findings.

**About You**
- Have a fundamental understanding of quality philosophies, principles, tools, and standards.
- Understand risk analysis methodologies and using those to be able to plan, control and report on project quality.
- Have basic knowledge of construction activities and project stages of execution.
- High standards, level of personal motivation and resilience, ability to focus on tasks and work as part of a team to achieve a successful project.
- Recognized advanced diploma or degree in a construction, engineering, or scientific discipline with work experience in fields such as construction, engineering, environmental science, procurement, testing, operations or commissioning.
- Lead auditor in Quality Management Systems ISO 9001:2015 is desirable or agree to completion of the learning module and in-house training with audit planning, preparation, execution, reporting and follow-up.
- Skills in planning, organization, and schedule compliance.

Bechtel, a global leader in project management, engineering, procurement, and construction, has been selected by Western Sydney Airport Co as its Delivery Partner for the Western Sydney Airport, a $5.3 billion greenfield facility in Badgerys Creek, New South Wales.
