**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic theatre technician to join our established team at Werribee Mercy Hospital - Operating Theatre. Located in the Catherine McAuley building, the 6 suite complex is a modern suite with natural light; a great foundation for our growing service.
- Permanent full time - Grade 5
- The successful applicant will be responsible for patient positioning and maintain all equipment requirements within the operating room.
- Additional duties will include tasks which support the department and service delivery; such as cleaning, restocking and patient transport.
- Working as a member of a multidisciplinary team, the successful applicant will be required to provide a highly responsive and flexible service to patients and their carers.
- The Grade 5 theatre technician will support Theatre management in the daily operational requirements, as well as provide planned leave relief for the Theatre Technician Manager.
- Hours of work are based on a 7day roster with full shift requirements which will include an on-call component.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Certificate III & IV in Health-Operating Theatre Technician Practice or equivalent is essential
- Current and role specific experience is essential.
- Additional training or certification such as Laser Safety Management highly desirable.
