The Role

We are now seeking a highly motivated Design Manager to join our Transmission and Distribution (T&D) team in SA. Using your strong technical background, commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills you will lead the technical delivery of small to large scale projects.

This role will see you working closely with a multi-disciplined engineering team of Substation, Transmission and Secondary Systems Engineers.

What will you do:

- Managing a team of engineers and multi-disciplined engineering interfaces
- Responsible for accurate and timely submission of scoping of works and tender proposals
- Ensures governance and delivery as per Aurecon Project Methodology
- Negotiation of variations, claims and commercial disputes
- Take personal accountability in project team’s actions to delivering a successful quality and safe project deliverables.
- Ability to provide some construction support where required for design constructability

What we are looking for:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Understanding of substation design and transmission line design
- Ability to demonstrate experience and successful delivery of projects in the energy sector
