**Position Summary**

Manage transport operational execution to ensure carrier delivery service, cost and safety outcomes. Responsible for the delivery of Safety; Compliance; Service; and Cost targets for transport requests from internal business units covering end customers across Shipping Lines, Rail Customers, BCOs and Freight Forwarders.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Planning and oversight of Customer Deliveries out of all transport locations nationally
- Managing Transport Operators within budget expectations to ensure effective provision of ongoing service
- Managing Chain of Responsibility requirements within the division in conjunction with the Compliance Manager
- Managing and leading a team of Transport Allocators and Truck Drivers
- Optimisation of the transport function including systems, operations and fleet
- Develop and implement processes that will improve and drive the transport function Monitor and review workforce productivity to ensure maximum productivity is being achieved. Implement changes as required

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**
- Tertiary qualifications in Logistics/Warehousing/Supply Chain preferred
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Transport Related role with a strong understanding on CoR and fleet management
- 3-5 years in Team leadership of a Transport function
- Building Relationships - well networked
- Ability to oversee a team to deliver outcomes in line with business requirements and expectations
- Proven strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills Proven ability to motivate others to effect change
