The CPB Contractors, Ghella & UGL joint venture has been successful in securing the contract to deliver the $3.1bn M6 Stage 1 project. The project will deliver the missing link from Sydney’s south to the wider Sydney motorway network making journeys easier, faster and safer. It will remove more than 2,000 trucks a day from surface roads and help return local streets to local communities.

With works commenced in early 2022, the M6 Stage 1 project scope includes the construction of twin four-kilometre tunnels and associated works, linking the M8 Motorway at Arncliffe to President Avenue at Kogarah.

**The Opportunity**

We have a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced Workforce Development and Aboriginal Participation Advisor to join the M6 Stage 1 team on a part-time basis. Please note this is a six-month max-term contract.

Based in Mascot, this role will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of Workforce Development and Aboriginal Participation strategies for the project.

The key responsibilities will include;
- Supporting the implementation of the Workforce Development and Aboriginal Participation Plans for the project with a focus on building capability for identified groups including youth, women in construction, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander and other underrepresented groups.
- Working with community stakeholders, subcontractors and the client on the delivery of programs to drive opportunities in line with industry and client requirements.
- Managing various reporting requirements in line with parent company and client requirements - this includes analysis and collating of data, and presentation of information in a clear and concise format.
- Coaching and guiding project staff on the engagement of employees and subcontractors to support the achievement of the Workforce Development strategies.

**About You**
- Experience in a similar role within the construction industry would be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated capability in the delivery of programs for disadvantaged groups with sustainable outcomes.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and influence outcomes in a fast-paced working environment.
- Intermediate MS Office skills.
- Advanced communication and facilitation skills.
