Return to Work Specialist

**Your Role**:
As a Return to Work Specialist, you’ll be a leader in recovery and return to work by influencing and driving return to work outcomes on all injury claims. Identify and triage claims that are high/Medium and Low risk of exceeding expected return to work outcomes, whilst working closely with the supporting case managers. The RTW Specialist will utilise their knowledge and skillset in return to work, person centred injury management and exceptional stakeholder communication skills, to drive optimal return to work outcomes.

**You will add value to Gallagher Bassett across the following**:

- Holistically managing a small portfolio of high-risk injury claims
- Supporting injured workers and employers with their recovery, RTW and return to health
- Supporting case managers of medium/low risk claims with regular claim conferencing
- Identifying biopsychosocial risk factors leading to strategic recovery and return to work goals whilst achieving RTW goals
- Identifying primary and secondary psychological claims whilst supporting appropriate strategic measures in managing injured workers back to full functional capacity
- Undertaking RTW visits (Virtual and in person) when required to support recovery and RTW outcomes
- Reviewing requests for medical and like treatment, assessing its reasonableness to help aid an injured workers’ recovery
- Working closely with internal external stakeholders, medical professionals and ORP’s throughout the injured workers’ recovery journey.

**We’re interested in hearing from people who possess**:

- Claims Management experience, ideally within workers compensation
- Knowledge of Personal Injury Management concepts relating to Victoria’s Workers Compensation Scheme
- Excellent customer service skills and experience
- Time management, administrative and organisational skills
- Experience in leading people, teams or key initiatives
- Tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role
