The main focus of the Accounts Payable Clerk is to process the accounts payable and clerical functions in the accounting department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.- Match paperwork invoice, goods received, purchase orders, etc-
- Process invoices both manually and via automated AP scanning system (Baseware)- Ensure that suppliers are paid accurately and on time- Follow up outstanding items with external and internal customers- Reconcile supplier statements.- Maintain and provide accounts payable KPI’s.- Ensure filing is up to date and archived as required for all creditors- Prepare payment runs for authorization ensuring appropriate documentation is available for authority to execute- Liaise with banks and suppliers to ensure timely payment is made- Process credit requests to the accounts receivable system- Ensure all work is completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company procedures and policy and that it is compliant from a legal and ethical perspective- Undertake related accounting and clerical duties as required- General ad-hoc duties as requested

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in a similar role- Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal-
- Ability to work independently and as a team- Good attention to detail- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word; Excel; Outlook)
