**The Opportunity**
We’re looking for an experienced Property Development Manager to join Woolworths Group based in Brisbane. It is an exciting time to be a part of Australia’s largest retailer as we continue to innovate and shape the future of retail.
As a Development Manager you will have the opportunity to:
- Work with a range of internal teams to develop and implement strategies to deliver a network plan, including sourcing retail development sites through varied acquisition strategies, for future activity that supports the growth of the business.
- Achieve internal business and authority approvals for projects, ensuring to maximise the amenity and financial outcome for Woolworths and satisfy long term community outcomes
- Manage a team of consultants to deliver projects that meet or exceed time, cost and quality benchmarks
- Provide accurate reporting (Monthly to Bi-monthly) on active developments and property strategiesTake a visionary/competitive & strategic approach to planning of retail sites
**Who we’re looking for**
We’re seeking a property development manager who can demonstrate at least 5 years experience in a similar field coupled with design coordination and planning approval experience in retail developments. You’ll join the team with solid project delivery ability combined with project management and project planning capabilities, as well as experience in leading a consultant team to deliver, lease and open retail sites.
You’ll have a broad knowledge of property economics, legislation, valuation (and much more) and be able to liaise effectively with local government and authorities. Your solid commercial acumen combined with an understanding and experience with financial modelling will ensure you’re set up for success.
