Explore a career change as an Authorised Officer - Plumbing Inspector within the Office of the State Building Surveyor.

We currently have two permanent opportunities available in our Inspection Service Plumbing team where you can utilise your extensive Plumbing knowledge and experience to provide support and technical services within the Office of the State Building Surveyor.

As an Authorised Officer (Plumbing Inspector), you will provide an important service to the Victorian community through the audit and inspection of plumbing work throughout Victoria to determine compliance with Victorian legislation and plumbing standards.

You will using your extensive plumbing experience and industry knowledge to ensure and enforce compliance with technical standards, produce reports and recommendations, and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders to build meaningful relationships.

**What we are looking for**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare information and advice in a clear and concise manner with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience in a compliance, audit or enforcement role and the ability to prepare succinct and accurate audit and inspection reports.
