**About the Opportunity**

As the Sustainable Production Specialist, your role will be to support the improvement of our environmental and compliance practices within our Pinnacle Drinks operations. This includes a partnership with our 4 bottling production sites & procurement / third party sourcing teams in reducing waste & improving our packaging / raw material imprint through the value chain to customers.
The Specialist role will work closely with our operations, commercial teams & suppliers to deliver against our priority strategic initiatives in our sustainability & accreditation plans. Scope also includes supporting our production site & procurement team tracking & delivery on environmental compliance, waste minimisation, sustainable packaging progress (including APCO reporting), decarbonisation & resource efficiency.

**A day in the life of a Sustainable Production Specialist at Pinnacle Drinks**
- Sustainability strategy - as part of a sustainability & risk team of three, you will support our Pinnacle sustainability strategy delivery & ensures key priority packaging and waste circularity initiatives are communicated and understood across our teams.
- Champion our internal standards & governance framework. This includes ensuring our Pinnacle standards are communicated and embedded at our sites. The role will support the Team to review industry benchmarks & legal and corporate requirements to maintain / update our internal framework.
- Support our external standards / accreditation agenda, and work with our sites to gain & maintain agreed external accreditations that aligns with our stakeholder needs & sustainability agenda.
- Reporting & Monitoring - maintains and supports continuous improvement in internal processes & systems to obtain reliable information from our sites & suppliers to meet agreed stakeholder and mandatory reporting obligations, with a strong focus on carbon footprint and sustainable packaging.
- Regulatory Compliance - keep abreast of the changing landscape our Pinnacle businesses are operating in and maintains a positive working relationship with compliance agencies & industry groups. Supports the Team to maintain the Environmental Management System.
- Troubleshooting & incidents: undertake root cause analysis, incident resolution, and incident reporting.
- Identify and support process changes to improve environmental performance in waste and packaging.
- Expert / SME support on waste minimisation, packaging, life cycle perspective, and natural resource efficiency.
- Supplier Approval - Expert / SME support to our sites on the evaluation of new suppliers & services from a sustainability & business risk perspective. Support the procurement & site teams with current supplier monitoring & initiatives.

**What you’ll need to succeed**
- Previous sector experience in Packaging, Sustainability, Lifecycle, and/or Waste roles
- Preferred - degree in Environmental Management, Material Science, Sustainability, or equivalent field
- Experience managing competing priorities and projects across multiple sites
- Environmental performance reporting
- Sustainable Packaging - experience with collection of data for APCO / NEPM reporting, preparation of reports & action plans with suppliers, internal stakeholders & production sites
- Experience with management of audit, assurance frameworks & standards including ISO 14001:2015
- Strong transferable knowledge of Local, State and Federal legislative requirements & compliance obligations related to packaging, waste/recycling, and carbon accounting
- Experience in the development and coordination of policies and procedures
- Experience in identifying and managing sustainability grants
- Strong internal and external stakeholder management
- Sustainability strategy delivery & roll out
- Building reporting capability & maintaining environmental management systems
