The City of Perth’s Media and Communications Unit is seeking an experienced communications professional to develop, deliver and evaluate internal and external communications initiatives. As the Communications Officer, you’ll provide strategic and proactive communications advice in line with the City’s values of commitment, teamwork, courage and respect.

Reporting to the Media and Communications Lead, this position will support the City by:

- Developing and implementing communications within a defined portfolio, targeted to internal and external stakeholders, to support the delivery of the City’s projects and initiatives.
- Providing advice to senior personnel to identify communications needs and develop appropriate content across multiple channels.
- Consulting with staff across the organisation to understand their communications requirements and ongoing needs.

In this role, you will have excellent written communication skills and story-telling ability, along with effective relationship management skills, including a demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
