Reporting into the Quality Manager, the Packaging QA Specialist plays a crucial role in upholding product integrity, ensuring that packaging meets regulatory requirements, and safeguarding consumer satisfaction. By identifying and resolving non-conformance incidents, they contribute to minimising risks, improving efficiency, and maintaining the overall quality of packaging operations.
Additionally, the specialist collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to implement corrective actions, develop preventive measures, and continuously enhance packaging quality processes.
**Key responsibilities**
- Supporting the site with internal and external audit programs and maintaining compliance to site, national and customer requirements in regards to packaging.
- Working closely with internal teams and suppliers to address non-conformance issues related to packaging materials or components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement reaction plans to address quality issues promptly.
- Conducting local supplier audits both inhouse and at our suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Working closely with operators and the team at the facility to identify and resolve packaging-related problems, escalating issues to suppliers when necessary.
- Being the go-to person for all packaging related quality issues, ownership of all reporting in this space and participating in daily and weekly meetings to raise and discuss any issues related to packaging quality.
- Write and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for packaging processes and providing team member training on SOPs to ensure proper implementation and adherence.
- Engage in routine problem-solving activities to improve packaging processes and address quality concerns by creating and managing corrective actions.
**About You**
As a key member of the Quality Team, your resume will ideally demonstrate prior experience in Quality roles within a FMCG / Food manufacturing environment.
In addition, you will possess:
- A demonstrated passion for quality through prior study and/or experience in a related discipline.
- Strong computer literacy across the Microsoft Office suite, some experience with SAP will be ideal although we’re happy to train the right person.
- An ability to manage change and influence others.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed Project Management skills.
- Excellent relationship management ability.
