The purpose of this role is to work with program and project practitioners to provide, or facilitate provision of, analysis, insights and recommendations to improve outcomes for major projects or programs, drawing on project and program management delivery experience to ensure confidence to executives, board members, and other stakeholders that programs and projects are aligned to strategic imperatives, on track, and will deliver the required quality outcomes.

**General Duties**:

- Maintain and refine a scalable internal and external project assurance framework
- Collaborate within the EPMO and Divisional PMOs to align to program/project assurance e.g. external assurance, delivery assurance, health checks, etc
- Work with EPMO Master Scheduler and programs and projects to ensure appropriate Assurance plans are in place and agreed for the lifecycle of the program/project
- Manage associated external vendors, consultancy commercial and contractual arrangements with procurement to ensure optimal extraction of value
- Develop dashboard style “one pager” reports for distribution, offering clear and concise information including statistical data and improvement activities
- Review and analyse critical program/project artefacts (including risk reports, business cases, estimates, variations, and project plans) against best practice methodologies; and work with CoE Leads to provide articulate feedback to Program/Project Managers

**Assurance and Compliance Execution**:

- Perform and/or coordinate all EPMO program and project quality assurance activities against agreed plans to identify and mitigate any risks to the success of projects/programs and ensure they are tracking to deliver to plan
- Perform all EPMO compliance activities, report on compliance to frameworks, ensuring adherence to standard policies, practices & project deliverables is maintained or deviations approved by relevant discipline owners
- Work with external consultants to communicate program/project overviews and agree assurance activities required, ensuring approach is tailored to each program/project

**Key Capabilities required**
- Experience in project or program assurance and compliance
- Advanced knowledge of and demonstrated experience in project management lifecycles, competencies and development methodologies (preferably Agile, SAFe, PMP, MSP, MoP, PRINCE2, PMBOK)
- Excellent analytical, conceptual thinking, planning and delivery skills used to investigate detail of programs and projects to determine likelihood of success
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills, especially in working with distributed teams at all levels
- Experience in working with cross functional teams to achieve objectives
- In-depth knowledge of quality management processes with experience in governance, audit, and risk practices
