IT QUALITY ASSURANCE, GOVERNANCE AND RISK ANALYST (JOB NUMBER: ITO002437)
The IT Quality Assurance, Governance and Risk Analyst will look to align, implement and monitor internal IT procedures and practices in Australia and New Zealand with the latest procedure and policy requirements as set out by BNP Paribas Group (ITG, CIB and Securities Services).
The primary focus of the IT Quality Assurance, Governance & Risk Analyst is to ensure alignment of the local procedures and practices with the Global BNP Paribas requirements (ITG, CIB and Securities Services). This list of controls and procedures is updated periodically and IT departments are expected to update their processes to ensure compliance. The IT QA, Governance and Risk Analyst will work closely with all teams & departments to ensure gaps are identified, action plans are agreed to remediate and then ensure the required governance is put in place and maintained.

- Configuration Management
- Project and Portfolio Governance
**The Key Responsibilities of the role are**:
- Work with IT staff to ensure that Project methodology and internal IT procedures are fully implemented and that practices meet all requirements (includes training new joiners).
- Work with internal and external auditors and with Risk & Control teams to verify the compliance of IT practices to all requirements.
- Perform all monthly, quarterly and yearly formal supervision tests for the IT department.
- Directly execute all operational tasks required by Process and Product Quality Assurance: periodical audits of IT Projects by ensuring that required tasks are performed and that required deliverable are produced and signed off.
- Work with the CIO and Head of CIO Office to implement a suitable governance framework, document, monitor & report on the portfolio of projects and Run the Bank activity.
- Organize support for regulatory and audit inquiries on IT in Australia and New Zealand.
Other IT Support Services
- Assist the Head of CIO Office as required in other areas especially Project reporting, Oversight & Monitoring, SLA Management and OPC/ORC/Audit Contributions.
Required:
- Solid experience in an IT department delivering solutions comprising custom development, and package integration.
- Experience in Quality Assurance or Sound Project Management experience in complex environments.
- Knowledge of modern Project Management practices and methodologies.
- Understanding of Financial Services
- Strong written skills.
- Strong communications and relationship management skills.
- Strong facilitation skills.
- Strong organisation skills.
- Ability to anticipate client needs
- Ability to work within a fast moving and changing environment
- Ability to pick up new concepts and processes quickly
Desirable:
- Knowledge of BNP Paribas Group standards
- 4 years of experience with financial institutions
- Experience in a Project Office environment
- Degree qualification in business and/or IT
- Knowledge of custodian and/or funds management administration
