One of Australia’s national regulators is looking for an experienced hardware asset consultant to join their department on a contract with the opportunity of extension. Located in Melbourne’s CBD, you’ll be providing ongoing hardware maintenance, troubleshooting, and providing helpdesk support to their internal users.

About the role

The Hardware Logistics is responsible for a range of tasks including:

- Maintaining a comprehensive logístical understanding of the Client’s device asset management and equipment inventory administration to manage device demand across their offices.
- Working with the Assistant Director, ICT Operations and Support and People and Capability to manage device policies, and new starter and existing staff processes.
- Working collaboratively with Administration Officers, Facilities and external stakeholders to manage device delivery, collection and maintenance with a focus on high quality and timely outcomes.
- Providing and coordinating technical and general help desk support services to both internal and external device and business system users in accordance with the service catalogue, service standards and performance measurements.
- Developing and maintaining a detailed knowledge of their system and hardware functionality and procedures for the purposes of help desk support, troubleshooting, monitoring information, and managing issues that arise.
- Identifying, classifying and reporting hardware, operational and functional issues affecting the successful management, operation and use of devices, core business systems and integration services.

What you’ll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience managing a fleet of devices, including day-to-day logistic and inventory administration, purchasing and compliance with device policies.
- Demonstrated experience managing the review and uplift of policies and procedures to improve business understanding day-to-day asset management.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of hardware support to users with diverse capabilities and skill sets within a moderately complex business environment.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of service desk and knowledgebase software such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence and Service Now.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including experience in communicating with and presenting information to both business and information technology stakeholders.
