**About the Role**
Swinburne University of Technology is seeking a Hardware Lifecycle Asset Consultant to join the Digital Workplace Experience (DWX) team within Information Technology. Reporting to the Asset Lifecycle Team Leader, this role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of IT hardware assets used across the University.

Working under broad direction, you will oversee hardware procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement, ensuring compliance with Swinburne’s Finance and procurement processes. The role involves close collaboration with senior IT staff, project teams, and external vendors to maintain strong governance and control over hardware assets.

The DWX team plays a key role in supporting staff and students by delivering high-quality, responsive IT services.

**About You**
**To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities**:

- Prior experience in a role requiring the assimilation and analysis of data to accurately forecast trends and budgeting for strategic decision making
- Proven organisational abilities including the ability to work autonomously and make decisions in relation to hardware procurement that are consistent with university objectives and direction
- Demonstrated experience in defining opportunities and achieving savings targets
- Expertise in contract and vendor management with a proven ability to negotiate effectively

**Qualifications**
A degree level qualification in information technology, information systems, or other relevant discipline with 4+ years of subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education/training.
