UX/UI Designer

We’re looking for a hands-on, creative, and curious **UX/UI Designer** to elevate the experience of our national digital platform and app. Reporting to the Head of Marketing (a senior graphic designer by background), you’ll bring both structure and creativity to every screen and interaction, helping shape intuitive, visually engaging, and accessible user journeys.

**About the Role**

As our new UX/UI Designer, you’ll play a central role in defining the look, feel and function of The Career Network’s growing suite of digital products. You’ll be responsible for designing seamless, user-centred experiences that guide our users seamlessly through their journeys, from students to confident career navigators.

You’ll also be involved in the design and development of next-generation features powered by AI. This includes working with APIs and exploring how AI can enable smarter content delivery, personalised user journeys, and more meaningful platform interactions. We’re looking for someone who’s not just comfortable with change but energised by the evolving role of AI in digital design.

**What You’ll Do**
- Design intuitive user flows, wireframes and UI components for web and mobile platforms
- Conduct customer research, usability testing and journey mapping to inform design decisions
- Identify and address UX challenges across existing journeys with practical, user-friendly solutions
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Marketing to align visual and brand direction
- Partner with developers to translate designs into high-quality, scalable builds
- Contribute to the digital product roadmap with ideas and recommendations for ongoing improvement
- Stay up to date with UX best practices, design systems, and innovations in AI, e-learning and digital services

**What You’ll Bring**
- 3-5 years of UX/UI design experience, ideally in e-learning, online services, or startup environments
- A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design thinking and measurable impact
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe XD (essential), with experience using Webflow or other prototyping platforms a bonus
- Clear understanding of UX best practice, responsive design and accessibility standards
- Experience in customer research, testing frameworks, journey mapping, and data-led design decision making
- Interest in AI-powered features and APIs, and how they will shape the future of user experience
- A collaborative mindset and comfort working cross-functionally with designers, marketers, developers, and stakeholders
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong visual eye for elegant, purposeful design
