We are currently seeking a results-oriented Security Consultant/Assessor/Team Leader to join the team. This role will be based out of Adelaide, SA.

As a Security Consultant/Assessor/Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
Providing advice and identifying any security controls to Air Force mission system owners on the requirements to meet Australian Government ICT C&A, as detailed in the DSPF and ISM.

Conducting ICT security assessments IAW the ASD IRAP Assessment process and Air Force specific requirements.

Determining and discussing the impact of any potential vulnerability, proposing treatment options, mitigation strategies, and be able to articulate residual risk.

Working collaboratively with stakeholders, to lead and conduct C&A activities.

Conducting other activities relating to ICT security such as, development of awareness briefs, security procedures and documentation, and business processes.

Participating in teamwork and group activities as required.

Developing ICT security documentation in support of Air Force mission systems.

Managing work and task allocation within the team, and coordinating delivery of ICT security outcomes as required by the Commonwealth.

Preparing consolidated monthly progress reporting.

To be successful in this role, you will need to bring with you:
Extensive experience in the implementation of cyber security controls, including assessing the effectiveness of controls.

Demonstrated experience with assessment and articulation of risk associated with ICT vulnerabilities to a non-technical audience.

The ability to work and deliver results under broad direction with changing levels of information in a dynamic operational environment.

Excellent communication, management and leadership skills;
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

Confidence and self-motivation.

Whilst not essential, the following qualifications/skills are desirable:
Credentials as a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or a Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA).

Qualified as a certified assessor under the Information Security Recognised Assessor Program (IRAP), or have an equivalent level of demonstrated experience.

Strong knowledge of the Defence Security Principles Framework.

This position requires compliance with Air Force safety policies, procedures and local instructions.

Applicants will also need to hold an existing Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) security clearance of at least Baseline.
