Hays is excited to be partnering with an ASX listed financial services firm, helping them look for a Financial Modelling specialist to join their team
They're looking for someone with strong stakeholder engagement skills who has the proven experience in creating financial models and forecasts. As the successful applicant in this role you will develop the data insights for future revenue and cost outcomes to support business performance and decision-making.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive and tailored financial models based on drivers to facilitate the evaluation of future financial effects resulting from variable changes, as directed by the line manager. These enduring models will serve as a critical component of the Performance
- Utilise extensive expertise in financial analysis skills and techniques to generate valuable insights, analyse information, and produce necessary financial outputs, while adhering to timelines.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing existing forecasting and modelling processes.
- Resolve intricate business challenges by leveraging data and business acumen.
Key Skills and Requirements for the role:
- Possess 5-8 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing financial models
- Demonstrate an advanced to expert-level proficiency in MS Excel
- Skilled in preparing integrated financial statements (income statement, balance sheet) based on a driver-based approach.
- Capable of setting up flexible financial models to run various scenarios based on different assumptions.
- Exhibit strong analytical, numerical, research, and problem-solving skills, enabling you to effectively extract and analyse information and develop innovative solutions
- Proficient in translating complex insights into compelling narratives for decision-makers and partners.
